Q.

#AskTheExpert my 9 month old has swelling of upper eyelid since yesterday morning , no pain , no tenderness , some redness and rubs eyes slightly . Looks like mosquite bite . What can i do to reduce swelling .

A. give paracetamol for now this appears to be some type of allergy. anti allergic medicines has to be given to the child and you have to find the cause of allergy do not give any type of food and do not apply any type of powder or lotion which might aggravate this allergy kindly give plenty of fluids to the child and then meet your doctor for examination

A. hi try cool pack or apply thin layer of coconut oil there but please don't push it . keep that area clean avoid using any other cosmetics there if swelling increase , please visit your pediatrician
