#asktheexpert my 7 month old girl is coughing..its been an hour and she is coughing and puking out all the milk she is having(done 2 times in this one hour). she had cold from last 7 days we have given her antibiotics. i am very afraid please answer bcoz its too late as well for consulting a pediatrician.

A. thanks doctor and one more thing for the whole day she was not coughing...she has been coughing since last two hours and during sleep...i didn't notice any cough while she was awake...she has only been coughing while sleeping

A. Cough and Cold together along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection hhmostly like flu so supportive treatment is required. along with that cough expectorant along with decongestant and antiallergic medications are needed. steam inhalation can be given too as it will relieve the symptoms.
