#AskTheExpert my 6 month old baby is suffering from cold congestion. She is not able to sleep. Chest and trachea blocked and now drainy nose

A. apply warm ghee on chest , back, neck, nose and bellw foot. add 1 - 2 drops of ghee inside the nostrils as well. preferably cow ghee. u will notice the difference overnight. but almost immediately, she will have a comfortable sleep. ( do not make her sleep in AC aftrr applying ghee. Fan is ok). take care

Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs gftreatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
