#AskTheExpert my 6.5 month baby is having small small red pimples ( daane) around his mouth, upper lip area, chin, around nose n little bit on cheeks also.There is this redness around his mouth area, skin there is getting dried up.I am applying moisturizer and coconut oil daily 3-4 times still it is there from almost a month now. Pls suggest me what to do .

A. Wash the affected area properly, pat it dry, and apply a lanolin-based cream to soothe it. Tie a bib around the baby’s neck to keep the drool from spreading to the neck and chest area. Apply petroleum jelly to the affected area to keep it moisturized and promote healing.

A. Apply a thin coat of a healing ointment like Aquaphor or petroleum jelly, which will act as a barrier between your baby's skin and the drool. These ointments can be soothing to your baby's irritated skin. At bath time, be sure to use a mild, unscented baby wash.
