#asktheexpert My 56 old girl child weights 3.60 now(checked yesterday) her birth weight was 2.85. Is the weight normal or underweight? (Ongoing Exclusive breastfeeding only).Is she need any formula milk from now? Kindly suggest.

A. Hello mom new born babies after initially days of birth they tend to loose some weight and then on they tend to start putting on weight . Monthly gain is about 300 GMs to 1 kg and by the age of 4 to 6 months they tend to double their birth weight
