Q.
#AskTheExpert my 5 month old baby is very gassy and his farts are smelly.he hasn't pooped since four days.he is peeing properly and active.yesterday I took him to pediatrician she told me that he is okay and she can hear his bowel movements.but he hasn't still pooped yet.i breastfeed him since day one and he never constipated before like this

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Gas related problem is very common in small babies because of many factor including immaturity of the gut .
other factors include cow's milk introduction before 1 ycfear of age , bottle feeding, not giving proper burping after each feed.
Digestive enzymes like aglozyme drops can be given as suggested by doctor in proper dose for reliving of such symptoms .
