#asktheexpert my 5.5 years old son complaint about leg pain. what could be the reason?

A. there are multiple causes of limb pain during this age because it can be normal due to growth pain. it can also occur due to nutritional deficiency mainly vitamin d, vitamin b12 iron axnd calcium deficiency. if there is excessive playful activity by the child during the daytime it is but obvious that during the night time there might be limb pain. if the limbs are paining without any activity then yes medical examination and treatment will be required

A. It is basically growth pain and nothing else you should apply a good oil on the legs of your child massage twice in a day and start with vitamin D calcium and multivitamin supplement but prior to that just take a check with your doctor of any supplement and precisely other than this would be advisable
