Q.

#AskTheExpert my 4mnth old baby is refusing breast sucking specially during she is active.but taking expressed milk from feeding bottle without any problem at the same time..what may be the reason and probable sollution?

A. Hi. I am a mother of a 3 month old. Check if your flow from nipples is more than the baby could take. Generally babies prefer slow and steady flow which is why they are comfortable with bottles. Try not pressing your breasts while feeding and try changing the positions of feeding. As expressing reduces the milk production slowly.

A. This may be due to low breast milk supply or overactive let down. Both the cases are not liked by baby and they reject breast. Bottle has consistent flow and they prefer bottle feeding. There are several ways you can manage breastmilk supply once you find exact reason of breast refusal by your baby

A. good morning it is common for small children to prefer having milk from the bottle because it is much easier I would recommend you to use electronic breast pump express the milk and given to the child
