#AskTheExpert My 4 year olds cough not going away since last 20 days...have given him mucolite and 1 more syrup...mucous is constantly there , took him to paediatrician.He has given Ascoril ls.Its been 4 days and his mucous and cough are still same..I am not able to understand the issue.avoiding food that forms cough..pls suggest what should I do?

Cough and cold can be due to seasonal variation and maybe a sign of any viral infection so as a home remedies steam can be started and if the cough worsen then cough syrup like asthakind can be given but if there is any breathing difficulty then a physician should be consulted .
