Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fevbooer and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for dehydration is required if loose motions are associated wigth foul smell mucous high grade fever than it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. Breastfed babies often pass more than 6 stools per day. Until 2 months of age, they may pass a stool after each feeding. But, if stools suddenly increase in number and looseness, suspect diarrhea. If it lasts for 3 or more stools, the baby has diarrhea.
