Q.

#AskTheExpert my 3 months baby got vaccinated for a 14 week vaccination and it's been 10 days but when I touched the thigh it is a little hard and she feel some pain. please suggest me what I can do.

A. after painful vaccines like dpt which comes with pentavalent vaccine can cause swelling in the limbs dwhich can continue for more than two months also. it does not require any treatment and should go away on its own. after vaccination immediately you should start applying ice as well as tdhrombophob gel to prevent such swellings from persisting

A. Hi mom If there is little hard on the vaccination site then no need to worry about this .. It will be fine on its own. If little pain also then no need to worry. If baby is crying excessively due to pain then u can give calpol drops to get relief from pain
