Q.

#asktheexpert my 3 months baby feeds for around 40-50mins. He often sleeps while feeding. Is this normal?

A. Yes it is very normal but I think your child is taking a really long feeding in this age because usually kids have a very good latching capacity so they take a fee for 5 to 10 minutes or maybe 15 minutes but 40 to 15 minute per time is actually much higher so I think you should consult a lactation specialist one time

A. sleeping while feeding is normal. but please check if he is actually sucking milk. happened with me for my first kid and my ped said she will feed for 20 min and remaining will just suck air
