#asktheexpert my 2 month old baby is having chest congestion sinse 20 days. Nebulizer, saline nasal drops, ascoril nothing worked. kindly guide.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a progyper evaluation by thge doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

NikithaMom of 2 children3 years agoA. hello try with indirect steam and also use instant cold releif rub from Babyhug which 8s very effective and any concern then it 8s better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly
