#AskTheExpert my 2 month old baby girl cries a lot & continue sucking her finger even after feeding in the evening as my breast milk will be low at that time. So, is it ok to feed 1 or 2 ounces of formula milk after feeding breast milk?? only for one feed in the evening? plz suggest.

Shanthi VelmuruganMom of a 3 yr 11 m old boy2 years agoA. all these are actually signs of low milk supply. it is best to give formula with FOS &Fibre to the baby so that the baby is full and is able to reach development milestone

if improper the child will continue to suck for long hrs without getting any milk
meet lactational counsellor who will guide regarding this.
see videos on you tube for breastfeeding position and attachment.
take plenty of waterd, home made diet, seasonal fruits and vegetables, milk for increasing breastd milk for yourself.
take 15 to 30 days weight and growth assessment by the doctor.

Once you've both got the hang of it, it's usually possible to offer your baby bottles of expressed milk or formula alongside breastfeeding. This is sometimes called mixed or combination feeding.
