#AskTheExpert My 2.5 months old son is vaccinated yesterday with PCV 13 & 2 other vaccines. he got 101.4 fever yesterday. After paracetamol, it reduced to normal. Now again, he is having 100.4 fever. I again gave medicine. but how many times he may get fever?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. when fever comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain.
paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day.
you can also apply ice over the injection site.
if there is local swellfing you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel.
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
