#AskTheExpert my 18month old is down with fever since yesterday. given calpol 3 ml but fever not subsided .. gave meftal 4ml as doc advised.. still recurrent fever ... doc prescribed antibiotics only to be given after 2 days of fever above 100.. worried as fever not going.. should I wait for one more day or start with antibiotics

A. hi we can wait till 3 days ,if fever is not subside within 3 days ,you must consult your pediatrician. please keep your child well hydrated complete the course of medicine and inform your doctor regarding Current Health condition of your child and take necessary follow ups. dress your child lightly. you can give Sponge bath to reduce the temperature
