Q.

#asktheexpert my 16m old baby had mild lactose intolerance (Reducing Substance +). however at 8m age stool test showed no reducing substance, so we could get on with normal diet. however today her stool seemed bloody.. pic is attached. she has been on Mucolite drops 2ml thrice daily since 3days because of cough n cold. kindly suggest. can lactose intolerance come back? or is it nothing to worry...

A. lactose intolerance if secondary is only temporary and it can recur for further advice in this regard you better consult your doctor for physical examination investigations if required then only proper treatment can be given and advise also in this regard
