A. Deficiencies in calcium, vitamin D and vitamin E can cause white patches on the skin. While harmless, these white spots indicate that you need to eat a healthy, balanced diet.

A. many times white spots can occur in children but does not require any treatment except moisturizing lotion application or simple coconut oil application. they will persist for fews weeks and then will go away if the problem continues beyond two weeks and is increasing in size and intensity then you have to meet the doctor for evaluation. some times it can be due to nutritional deficiency, skin sensitivity, allergy, fungal infection (sometimes self limiting) also for which your doctor will prescribe specific cream.
