#asktheexpert my 12 day old baby has recurring stomach pain and cries continuously as a result. What is the reason for this and can you suggest a remedy

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Gas in smaller babies is a very common and a Matter of concern most of the times for care giver.
its mostly because of immaturity of the gut . formula feed or early introduction of cows milk in babies may be aggravating factor. proper burpingnu after each feed is very important.
Enzyme preparations like aglozyme or vitazyme can be beneficial.Also colicaid drops can be given.

Nihita mittalMom of 4 children3 years agoA. good evening it might be happening because of gastric issue it is a very common problem with small children I would recommend you to try to apply a little bit of hing on the baby's stomach in anticlockwise direction
