#asktheexpert My 1 yr 3 month old baby weights 8.7 kg. I have met a pediatrician and they say that it's genetic. How can I help my baby gain weight

A. I am giving him a proper calaries Here is his diet chart 8 Am 100 ml milk 9 Am moong chila/oats/daliya/sooji chilla/ 11am Any fruits 2 pm lunch Khichdi/ curd rice/ daal chawal n curry 5pm curd 7 pm boiled potato with curd 8:30 Cerelac 10:30 Roti with milk And feeds him milk during sleep Also he went orchidopexy at the age of 12 month after which he stopped gaining weight

A. Weight gain in a child is a good indicator for proper health of the child and there should be a regular weight gain as per the age of the child. if there is not a proper weight gain it can be because of many factors and three most important causes are Baby not taking enough calories Baby is not absorbing the enough calories which the frbaby is taking Baby is burning too many calories . So a proper assessment is very important to know the cause regarding this .
