#AskTheExpert Meri beti Friday ko bed se gir gyi thi. Uske sar pe halka sa swelling hai 1 inch diameter ka aur dabane par spunzy ka feel hota hai. Is there any suggestions? How to cure it. thanks

A. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurrent fall injury for a child should be avoided as it cahfn lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally . Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associated and can be easily mhissed out most of the time .
