Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl3 years agoA. it is ok .Looks like just normal as in some of babies . For now nothing to worry about and of feel to be having some problem then should consult a near by doctor for same . Do not give any medication without doctor advise

This doesn't necessarily mean any problem unless the stools are watery, or too hard, or has blood stains or the baby has a stomach pain or looks cranky or cries everytime he poops. In all these cases you should consult a doctor. Otherwise you need not worry.Green stools are normal in formula fed babies. But if u r exclusively breastfeeding then Green stools may also be due to the fact that baby is getting only low fat fore milk(milk that comes first) as they don't feed longer in one breast and switch breasts pretty soon. If u let the baby feed longer in one breast then he will get the high fat hind milk which comes later. But if the green stools continue or the consistency of the poop changes like too loose or too tight then u can consult with your pediatrician once.
