A. Dear ma’am, not to worry . Babies triple their birth weight by one year. Continue to encourage frequent breastfeeding and also provide adequate and age appropriate solid foods to meet his requirements

A. Hi dear good afternoon Check if baby is gaining adequate weight. In the initial 3 months, babies put on about 1 kg each month. From 3-6 months, weight gain reduces to 1/2 kg/month. from 6-9 months, it becomes 1/3, and for 9-12 months, it settles to 1/4 kg. the birth weight doubles in the 4th month and triples when they reach 12 months of age Try to feed for longer duration. 15-20 mins each breast. This way baby will get balanced foremilk and hind milk. Foremilk comes in the beginning for 5-10 mins then comes the hind milk which is rich in fats and can help baby gain weight. So always empty a breast each
