Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated .
Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine .
As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful .
Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms io.
Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .

use nasal saline drops for this.
or put a bowel of chopped onion and garlic pods near your child bed approx 1.4 feet far overnight.
keep your child head slightly elevated while sleeping.
