#AskTheExpert #Mamypoko Hello doctor, I have two month old baby girl.... my one nipple is small so i used nipple shield to feed her... i tried direct feeding but she was unable to lacth.... so i keep using nipple shield..... but i try to feed her directly time to time now she able to latch but she bites my nipple very badly i feel like blood will come if i continue feed.....its paining badly and i had to shift to nipple shield again next day... what should i do? my monther in law said if i use nipple shield there will be extra pressure on babys head and there will be side effects..... is this true?

A. Hello mom When it was a flat then you have to continue using nipple shield is then only baby will able to let the nipples and you have to use it regularly for better results. We just have to read it properly and it is totally safe to feed your baby by using the nipples shield so don’t worry about that
