#AskTheExpert #Mamypoko can I apply honey on the gums of my baby? Elders in the house are telling me to do so...they are saying it will soothe the pain causing by teething

A. Hi yes you can gently massage the gum pad area with clean finger along with honey. this will enhance the blood circulation and hence hasten the eruption process. or else you can give your child chilled silicone teethers to chew on.

A. Hi, please avoid honey, citric fruits, dry fruits, cow milk, salt and sugar until Baby completes one year. They are concentrated and it might affect baby. Gently massage on the gums with your fingers. You can give finger foods like boiled carrot sticks, boiled potato sticks, Dosa. Give adequate liquid and keep your baby well hydrated.Write Your Answer Here
