A. This may due to either allergy or infection and some times due to climate changes and temperature variations . For cold you can give drops wikoryl AF 0.5 ml to the child 2-3 times per day. try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops frequently for nasal blockage, simple cough and cold. Indirect steam is helpful. Home remedies like Tulsi Ginger diluted with water combinationc (honey can be added after 1 year age)and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day. Give warm water to drink If no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor paracetamol for fever and pain.

A. If there is heavy running nose or cold and she seems cranky and intolerable then please take her to the doctor. Or if it is mild and just started you can try this home remedy. Heat coconut oil and add little bit of powdered camphor (pure one without chemicals). Once the mixture is lukewarm apply on the baby's chest, back, neck, nose and feet gently. Also make sure you add only little amount of camphor as it can cause skin irritation. Common cold or a fever can be caused by any of the numerous viruses present out there . Every time the baby is exposed to a virus she gets cold or sometimes fever. But u need not worry about this as she develops an immunity to this virus and will be more stronger as she grows old. So it's very common for infants to catch colds or get fever often. It indicates a good development of their immune system. So as the baby grows older the frequency of getting cold or fever he get will reduce. If it is not reduced even after few years then you should let your pediatrician know about it as the kids immune system may be weak and get some immunity boosters prescribed. Always include healthy fruits and vegetables and other pulses in baby's regular diet
