#AskTheExpert Ma'am....I am 27 weeks 2 days pregnant with gestationaldiabetes.....today my doctor told my aminotic fluid has increased.....I am taking metformin but still sugar level is not controlled....so she suggested to start insulin.....I want to ask if my sugar level gets controlled, then my aminotic fluid will become normal or will keep increasing....kindly answer

A. There is no guarantee that using insulin will stop your increase in amniotic fluid levels. But no matter what,your blood sugar levels should be kept under control for your and your baby sakes

A. If The sugar is in control hopefully it will not increase but it will stay intact the way it is right now but that is also okay if it is not increasing till the time you are safe then there is no reason to get worried about for the same but still to have a clarity over this issue please can discuss it in detail with your mana colleges
