#AskTheExpert# Is there any risks for low lying placenta ? My wife's 5th month scan shows its a low lying placenta with 5 cm. Also she has a brown discharge in her 6th month thrice.

A. Definitely a low lying placenta is a high risk factor and she should be on strict bed rest and avoid any activity that will put pressure on the abdomen and that even includes straining while passing motion. Absolutely no intercourse.Write Your Answer Here

A. will the placenta moves upwards ? does it makes any complications during pregnancy? what is needs to be done to have a healthy normal delivery ?
