A. Yes, it is completely normal for a baby to move backwards during tummy time. Babies develop their muscles gradually, and moving backward often happens before they learn to move forward. This is because their upper body and arms may be stronger than their legs at this stage. What You Can Do: Encourage Forward Movement by placing a favorite toy slightly out of reach to motivate them. Use a Rolled Towel or Pillow under their chest to provide support. Give More Floor Time to help them strengthen their core and leg muscles. Be Patient—every baby develops at their own pace, and soon they will start crawling forward. If your baby continues to struggle with movement or seems uncomfortable, you can consult a pediatrician for guidance.
