#asktheexpert is it normal for a one month baby not to pass motion for 3 days in a row?

A. It is very normal for small children that sometimes they will not pass stool for 10 days also and sometimes they will pass stool more than 7 to 8 times per day. If the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to semi liquid do not worry about the frequency of the stool. No medicines needs to be given in such a case but you have to meet the doctor only if the stool consistency is hard. It is advisable to ggive only milk to the child and nothing else before completion of 6 months of age. intermittent crying of the child is due to colic pain and not due to constipation.

A. We can go till the time of 10 days also it is no problem with that because constipation age is normal as a child is totally on a liquid diet so if they pass sufficient amount of urine and there is no problem with the feeding then there is no issue with constipation also
