Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. hi no It is not necessary to use this but if a child is not taking food by sitting at one place and running here and there at mealtime ,make hard to feed him then you can buy the chair for that I would suggest to use Babyhug high chair which comes with all safety measures. but it can be used after 6 months age
