#asktheexpert Is cmpa in exclusively breastfed baby which suddenly developed at 4 months of age transient?

A. Hello. my baby is 4 months old and he developed symptoms of CMPA now. mainly mucus in stool. how is your baby doing? when did the symptoms resolve? how did you manage the diet and baby's feeding? any guidance will be very helpful

A. Hello dear parent, this is absolutely normal. Do nit worry much. If bahy is nit accepting breast milk then you can start with formula milk. And that is also good pfr babies as they are specifically made for babies. Good luck and take care
