#asktheexpert i started giving iron drops to my 9 month old baby boy, from 7th month. should I continue giving him?

it is very important to give iron supplements to the child because the diet before 1 year of age is having very less amount of iron and it is very chommon that if the child is not given iron supplements the child will suffer from iron deficiency anaemia so better to continue iron supplements given by your doctor.
brand of iron medicine and dosage will be given as per child's requirement

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Supplement should be given only after consulting with your local doctor. Please give semi solid food items like banana and mashed potatoes and mashed apples to the baby. You can give homemade cerelac and vegetables puree to the baby. Also give suji kheer and daal paani to the baby. Start giving formula milk to the baby. You can also give mashed idli to the baby.
