A. hairfall is common. have a healthy diet and do head massage on regular basis. I had used Indulekha hair oil and mamaearth argan hair mask for myself. both of them helped me a lot in controlling hairfall and promotes new hair growth. also improves the texture of hairs.

A. Contact your doctor and ask whether any prenatal vitamin supplements can be taken by you. Consume foods rich in iron, zinc and vitamins. Make a home made hair pack of egg whites and olive oil and apply it directly to the scalp. Or soak fenugreek seeds overnight and apply strained water directly on the scalp. Leave it for an hour or two and then wash. Include yoghurt in your diet or make a hair mask of yoghurt and coconut oil and apply on the scalp. Massage your hair gently with lukewarm oil before hair wash to improve circulation and increase hair growth. Include dry fruits and flax seeds in your diet.

A. Losing hair after pregnancy is quite normal, so there is no need to worry. About 85% of our hair grows actively while 15% of it is in testing mode - this 15% usually falls out during hair wash or combing during a period called the shedding period and it makes way for new hair follicles. The oestrogen levels in the body fall post delivery and hair follicles go into rest mode and start falling abruptly. This shedding period lasts only for 6-8 months.
