Q.
#asktheexpert I just delivered my baby 6 days back and his eyes are turning yellow. His mouth/tongue also seems yellow. What should i do ?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. there is always a chance of neonatal jaundice in small children within one or maximum 2 weeks of birth in which the skin as the eyes may appear yellow.
you have to meet the doctor for evaluation of the jaundice.
normal simplde jaundice will go away on its own with only breastfeeding but if it is more your doctor will advise phototherapy.
the yellowness from the eyes may take around 1 to 1 and half month to totallyf go away.

SanthoshiMom of a 1 yr 9 m old girl1 Year agoA. Jaundice. Pls see your doctor for treatment and to. Know levels. I feel and suggest It's better to check with your doctor and follow their advise. That would be one of the best and safest option for your baby as of now. Take care.
