Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing to worry.
Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locally guand paracetamol can be given for fever or pain.j
Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

It’s okay it could be due to irritation or pain into the area where the vaccination may have been given so try to feed your child on demand as and when your child is demanding for a day or two it will be the same behaviour if you feel your child is irritated or crying then you can give paracetamol to the child to child
