Q.

#AskTheExpert I have had PCOD for many years and never had regular periods. My last period was in October which was about 6 months after the previous cycle. I haven't had my period since October. I have also gained a lot weight while being on birth control pill (stopped now). Please suggest

Hello mam, For pcos lifestyle correction is very important Have jeera and ajwain water empty stomach in the morning Go for gluten free and dairy free diet or atelast Reduce the intake of gluten that is wheat and it’s product abs dairy products Have more vegetables, beans like rajma chana and chola, quinoa, oats, eggs, dry fruits like walnuts and almonds, fruits in the diet Have flaxseeds , chia seeds and pumpkn seeds in routine day Workout for 45 min daily it’s very effective

A. Hi dear If your body is fit, then Waking is a good way to shed some weight. 20 mins of walk can help you alot. Try to do yoga like suryanamaskar, pranayma these are highly beneficial. Also follow good diet. For breakfast have fruits. Oats, ragi, kellogs for lunch have millets instead of rice. Or Have less rice and more veggies. For dinner have roti, fruits. Mainly try to Avoid white foods like white rice white bread maida.. Have a balanced and healthy diet. For your pcod problem I feel and suggest It's better to check with your doctor and follow their advise. That would be one of the best and safest option for you as of now as doctors know our health n body well
