#AskTheExpert I have got weak positive mycoplasma pneumonia was in hospital and discharged with azee and ceftum medicine... Am feeding my baby... Is it safe or any safety measures needs to be taken plz advice doctor

A. Hello...some of the mild medication in breastfeeding is allowed except harmone medicine n antibiotics should be avoided...also. if some sickness like you have a cold or flu, fever, diarrhoea and vomiting, or mastitis....keep breastfeeding as normal... r baby won't catch the illness through your breast milk – in fact, it will contain antibodies to reduce her risk of getting the same virus.. ... But being sick and continuing to breastfeed can be extremely tiring for you so keep taking very good diet...
