Q.

#AskTheExpert I have completed my 9 months and 4 days. There are no pains yet. My ob-gny has suggested I get admitted on 5th day and 6th day she will induce labour. The movement of baby is still going on and there are no signs of natural labour yet. Should I go ahead with induced labour procedure or wait for the natural pains.

A. Induced labour is usually more painful than natural labour. Depending on the type of induction you are having, this could range from discomfort with the procedure or more intense and longer lasting contractions as a result of the medication you have been given.
