#asktheexpert I have 3. Queries 1. Does a baby need to put on a cap indoors in kashmir during winters 2. Can we breastfeed a baby while the baby is lying on her back? 3. Is it important for a baby ti sleep on her sides than on her back?

Babies should wear hats for the first few months after birth, especially when they are outside or in a cold environment. If hats were essential for babies, they'd be born wearing them. They're not. If your baby is very tiny and/or premature, and if it's cold where you live, a warm hat is likely to be a very good idea.
