Q.

#AskTheExpert i have 2 month old baby boy and i have cracked nipple since day 7 of my child...and pain when he sucks ...i have tried numerous thing to solve my prob ... using nipcare ointment,washing that area through warm water daily...took consultation of doctor and he prescribed antibiotics and T-bac ointment after all these i have not got result..analyse my baby position during breast feeding but nothing resolved my prob what should i do??? Plz help me for this

A. One study found that breastfeeding mothers who rubbed their own breast milk on cracked nipples experienced much faster healing than using a lanolin ointment. Apply a few drops of fresh breast milk over the nipples and allow it to air dry.
