#asktheexpert I had a brown thick sticky discharge last night. Entered my 38th week of pregnancy. Was it mucus plug? There was no blood or runny discharge.

Yes, there is a possibility that it is mucous plug and usually it will be sticky and thick and there is no compulsion that they should be continuous bleeding after that. If there is bleeding, you have to consult your doctor at the earliest
