#asktheexpert I got my previous cycle on 29th July, after that i took morning contraceptive pill on 23th aug, got my recent cycle on 1st September, lasted for 5days then again after 7days on 12th September i have this dark maroon spotting. What could it be?

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist1 Year agoA. Even if you have taken an i pill, you have to do a pregnancy test to rule out a Pregnancy because it is not hundred percent effective. Also, you need to consult a gynecologist in person to see if any scan is required.
