#AskTheExpert I am lactating mother of 2months old baby boy...I am having severe tooth ache and visited dentist...Dentist suggested for cleaning and laser treatment...also gave few antibiotics for pain relief....will treatment and antibiotics usage effect baby and milk supply?

ExpertNiharika PandeyPediatric Dentist4 years agoA. Hi you should tell your dentist about your breastfeeding habit.. they will suggest you medication which is safe during breastfeeding.. and if there's any dental treatment required then go for it

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl4 years agoA. hi yes mam,it can affect your breastmilk and so your child. so please inform your treating doctor that you are nursing mother,he or she will prescribe needed medicines accordingly.
