A. I'm not a doctor, but I can suggest some general options that may help with a cold and runny nose. For symptom relief, you could consider: 1. Antihistamines: Over-the-counter antihistamines like cetirizine or loratadine can help reduce a runny nose and sneezing. 2. Decongestants: Pseudoephedrine or phenylephrine can relieve nasal congestion. They’re available in some over-the-counter cold medications but consult a pharmacist to choose one that suits you. 3. Saline Nasal Spray: This can help clear nasal passages and make breathing easier without medication side effects. 4. Steam Inhalation: Inhaling steam may help soothe your sinuses and reduce congestion. 5. Hydration: Staying hydrated helps thin mucus and can relieve congestion. If your symptoms persist, worsen, or if you develop a fever, it's a good idea to consult a healthcare professional for specific advice and treatment.
