#asktheexpert I am 20weeks pregnant. I use to get headache frequently is it good to eat pain killer for that?

A. Please consult your doctor before taking any medication. Meanwhile, you can take a few drops of peppermint oil in your palms and rub it in between your palms for a few seconds. Apply oil to the temples or forehead and massage for a minute. Do this before going to bed to see positive results. Put Epsom salts in your bath water and take a warm bath to relax. Avoid caffeine. Eat small meals throughout the day and ensure that you are consuming enough proteins. Drink lots of water. Cold compress : Dip a towel in a bowl of cold water and squeeze out extra water. Lie down on a comfortable surface and place the towel on your forehead and eyes and press it gently. Or you can also use a hot compress.
