Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. No packed food or supplements that are advertised are even necessary for your baby. Your baby can be healthy with the simple homemade food itself. Just follow these. For improving the immunity, you should be giving a healthy and balanced diet. The child's regular meals should comprise of cereals, pulses, greens, vegetables, fruits, nuts, dry fruits, dairy products etc., There should be more protein and Vitamin C intake which are very good in building immunity. Vegetables, fruits and spices protect the child from falling sick, cereals, nuts and dry fruits provide energy, protein rich foods help in the child's growth and Milk and milk products does all three jobs - protection, energy, body building. You should make sure all these are in balance in ur child's regular meals. As the baby is above one year of age u can give almost everything that u eat as a family. Just follow the 2 day gap rule between introducing new foods.
