Q.

#AskTheExpert how much time should a mother feed a one month old baby in one session? And if baby is not satisfied in prescribed time what should be further course of action?

A. hello. look ot depends on baby's sucking abilty n mother s milk flow.. normally 20 to 30 min required in 1 session. if bm is not sufficient may give formula milk.

A. Hello, A newborn should be put to the breast at least every 2 to 3 hours and nurse for 10 to 15 minutes on each side. An average of 20 to 30 minutes per feeding helps to ensure that the baby is getting enough breast milk. It also allows enough time to stimulate your body to build up your milk supply.
