POOJA KOTHARIMom of a Newborn child5 months agoA. For a one-month-old baby, feeding amounts depend on whether they are breastfed or formula-fed:
Breastfed babies: They usually feed on demand, about 8–12 times a day, with each feeding lasting around 15–20 minutes. It’s hard to measure exact quantity, but they typically get enough milk through frequent feeding.
Formula-fed babies: They generally consume about 90–120 ml (3–4 ounces) per feeding every 3 to 4 hours. Total daily intake is usually around 600–900 ml (20–30 ounces).
At this age, watch for signs baby is full—turning away, slowing sucking, or falling asleep—and always follow their hunger cues. If you have concerns about feeding amounts or weight gain, consult your pediatrician.
